White Balance Correction by Using Photoshop
White balance is IMPORTANT – but most of (newbie) photographers always use automatic white balance, a little bit ridiculous but that’s the fact. Honestly most of times I also use auto white balance although I know I can’t get the correct color/tone. Since I still use AWB but want to get the correct color then I need to correct the WB (in post processing) by using Photoshop.

Valentine Day
I am sorry a little bit late to write this article since I am busy on 14th and 15th February 2009. Actually nothing is very special for me regarding Valentine Day but I am happy since I got chocolate from 4 different persons. First person is my supervisor 玉千 (read: yu qian), her desk is in the right side of my desk. Second person is 小Q (one of my photo-session model). Third person is Sandy, he is my friend – we live together in one apartment (not in one room LOL). Fourth person is Lanny, she is my friend from NTUST and now she works in the same office with me.
In the beginning I have said that I am busy on 14th and 15th February 2009. Actually on these two days I have 3 photo sessions, later you can see three albums after I finish editing all the albums. Because I took these 3 photo sessions in 14th and 15th February 2009 so the title of the album should be related to the valentine day. I will give the title “Lovely Day”, “Lovely Student”, and “Lovely Girl”. Hope I can finish these albums less than 1 week.
2009 Taipei Lantern Festival
Taipei Lantern Festival (台北燈節, read: tai bei deng jie) is a cultural festival that we celebrate every year (usually after Chinese New Year). Because I come to Taiwan in 2006 – until now I only watch this festival three times (2007-2008-2009). As I remember 2007 Taipei Lantern Festival was held in 中正紀念堂 (read: zhong zheng ji nian tang), in English we said: Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. 2008 Taipei Lantern Festival was held in 國父紀念館 (read: guo fu ji nian guan), in English we said: Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall. Same with year 2008, 2009 Taipei Lantern Festival also held in 國父紀念館. Below I attach some photos about this festival, I think it’s very wonderful to see this by your own eyes. Anyway I only can provide these photographs, hope you can enjoy these photographs – all of these photographs are taken by Canon 5D + EF 35mm f/1.4L.
